Vegetarian belts are made each weekend from a thick microfibre
material. Some people call it "non leather", or "vegan
leather", because it looks similar.
We can cut shorter lengths than shown on the order form for
dog collars or wrist cuffs and will knock a pound or two off
the price for that if you remind us.
Do a test order on the shopping cart to find out what the price
for a belt would be before postage. It varies from £10
We can cut a strap without a buckle for a pound less, and we
can send with a screw-rivet for 50p more. With a screw rivet
you can attach the strap to any other buckle you happen to have.
Sometimes we can make narrower straps for things like dog leads,
depending on what's in stock. Typically a lead would have to
be made out of shoe material which s a little thinner and floppier
at 2mm instead of 3mm for belts.
The buckles are usually cast metal or pressed from thick metal
rod. If they look like solid metal in the picture, they are.
Most casting is done in India with some in Alicante, Spain. Some
brass buckles are then nickel-plated in London, which is also
where the straps are cut and the belts assembled by Veganline.com
