Made
in the UK using recycled denim from charity shops, with expertise
& equipment from a recently-closed Clarks / K Shoes factory
that has been re-used by a Cumbria foam manufacturing firm. The
soles are made with a niftily-simple polyurethane moulding process,
while the tops are made from multiple layers of recycled denim
bought from charity shops. The seams are not turned-in, but left
rough at the edges for softness.
We also hope to stock shoes made of rope-like hemp canvas
if there is enough demand.
